Worden Pond Family Campground

Worden Pond Campground in Wakefield, RI is located just across the road from the southern shore of Worden Pond. The largest pond in Rhode Island. We visited in the fall but could easily imagine the water based activities of summer. 

Everything about Worden Pond Campground is location. It's situated in southern Rhode Island just a short drive from all the Ocean front activities and attractions. The campground has a balance of seasonal and traveler sites. Our assigned site was overlooking the large recreation area with a childrens playground and plenty of room for a game of frisbee.

Walden Pond Campground has a private beach on Worden Pond. It's just across the street from the campground entrance. It's a bit of a walk from the main area of the campground. There is no parking available at the beach, but it appears there is parking available near the campground office.

The sites in our area were large, easy to manuever the rig in and clean. Septic isn't availabe on site, but the dump station was clean and well laid out. 

We used Worden Pond as our base for a visit to the Rhode Island seashore and it filled that role admirably.
